My name is Cassandra Kustec. I am a dedicated practicum counsellor at Blue Oaks, currently completing my Masters of Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. With a foundation in Psychology and Health Studies from the University of Toronto, I’m committed to providing personalized counselling services tailored to meet your unique needs.
I offer individual and couples counselling, both in-person and through video sessions. My approach is rooted in empathy and non-judgment, creating a safe space for you to explore your feelings, heal from trauma, and embrace positive change. I believe in the importance of adapting therapeutic techniques to suit your specific circumstances, drawing from a range of theoretical frameworks to ensure you receive the best possible treatment.
Continuous learning is a cornerstone of my practice, as I strive to enhance my therapeutic skills and interventions to deliver optimal client care. As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), my goal is to provide unwavering support and empower you to overcome obstacles, tapping into your internal strength to lead a fulfilling life.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I have a passion for nurturing a balanced lifestyle. During my undergraduate years, I coached gymnastics and trampoline, fostering a supportive environment for athletes of all ages, including those facing learning and mental health challenges. Additionally, I dedicated my time to volunteering at a suicide and distress call center, further honing my ability to provide compassionate care.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me exploring the great outdoors, whether it’s hiking with friends or simply enjoying nature’s tranquility. I cherish moments spent with my family and partner, and prioritize maintaining my physical health through regular exercise.
