Sand tray therapy is a therapeutic technique where clients use miniature figures and objects in a sandbox to create scenes that reflect their inner thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This nonverbal, expressive approach allows individuals, especially children, to explore and process emotions, trauma, and conflicts in a safe, symbolic way. Similarly, play therapy uses toys, games, and creative activities to help children express themselves naturally and develop healthy coping skills.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I have a passion for nurturing a balanced lifestyle. During my undergraduate years, I coached gymnastics and trampoline, fostering a supportive environment for athletes of all ages, including those facing learning and mental health challenges. This experience deepened my understanding of the importance of movement, play, and expression in emotional development – insights that naturally inform my use of play therapy in my clinical work. I have seen how non-verbal, creative methods can help children process complex emotions and build resilience. Additionally, I dedicated my time to volunteering at a suicide and distress call center, further honing my ability to provide compassionate care.
I invite you to take the first step towards positive change by connecting with me. Whether you have questions or are ready to embark on your journey towards well-being, I’m here to support you. Together, we’ll navigate through challenges, uncover insights, and discover strategies to enhance your mental health and overall well-being.
